JUST INN
Just Inn/BB's
Hideaway
(Upper Balud,
Dalaguete)
Just Inn or
BB's Hideaway is a mountain resort located in Upper Balud, Dalaguete.
To get there you have to take a motorcycle (commonly referred as
habal2x) or tricycle ride from their town proper. It is a private
resort owned by a seaman and is managed by his kind and hospitable
sister.
Prior going
to our short weekend vacation, I've researched for the right place to
stay in Dalaguete. We chose to have our overnight stay in Dalaguete
because we have plans to climb the famous Osmeña Peak early in the
morning OSMEÑA PEAK. Going
back to Just Inn, the place has reasonable and affordable prices
suitable for a person who is on a budget (like us!).
They have a restaurant if you don't feel like cooking, but if you do,
they have a grilling area, and you can purchase charcoal from them.
Before
we got there, all I knew based on my research was that they have
small cottages with one air-conditioned room good for two persons
only. Luckily for us, they have one mini house and best for six pax.
I won't say it's the best but for a worn out, on a budget traveler
like us? It's the best deal in town man! There is a one huge
air-conditioned room with three, good for two beds. A comfort room
and an open-air dining area. There is a fridge too, but I'm not sure
if it's working, and I didn't bother to try it.

If
I were to rate the resort from a range of 1-10 and 10 being the
highest, I would give it a 9.5. As usual, every resort has its PROS &
CONS. So far, the only “not so good thing” about the resort is
that even if you rent a room, the usage of the pool is not free.
However, overall I couldn't complain more because of the service we
got from the manager of the resort. She was very hands on to us and
made sure we had everything we need before she left the resort. She
even arranged our trip for tomorrow going to Osmeña Peak so that we
can avoid being overcharged by opportunistic habal2x drivers. Because
of too much joy that had overwhelmed me, I forgot to thank “Ate”
(uggh! I didn't even catch her name! What a bummer!). Thank
God my husband did it for the rest of us, and he promised we would
recommend their resort to everyone we know. When we left the resort
after our Osmeña Peak escapade, she even had somebody escort us on
our way to the bus stop using their car free of charge (Yippey!!).
Expenses
during our stay at Just Inn:
Tricycle
or Motorcycle fare- 20 Php per person.
Room
rent- 1,500 Php (that was the mini house we rented)
Nipa
huts- 700 (good for two, but maximum of 3)
Swimming
pool fee- 75 per person (but we got a discount..yey!)
As
for the food, the cost would really depend on your consumption, but
for us, we spent around 700 Php for our dinner. That's 4 dishes
already with rice and beverage, and the servings were great mind you.
In the morning we had our breakfast from their restaurant as well.
I'd like to know more. My wife and I are thinking of moving to Dalaguete Cebu.

Hi Hilton! It's been a while since I've checked my blog (I was just crazy busy) so sorry for my late response. If your plan is to settle in Dalaguete for good then I'd suggest you go visit the place first.
