Ilocos

Ilocos “The gladdest moment in human life, me thinks, is a departure into unknown lands.” – Sir Richard Burton Travelling to me is not just something you do because you want to be away from your daily routine, but you do it out of passion, and to me those are two different things. Ilocos has been sitting in my bucket list for quite some time already and I am glad to finally have checked it! I and my husband have this yearly travel thing to celebrate our anniversary and this year we have chosen Ilocos. We’ve put so much thought about it, considered all the pros and cons there are and have finally decided to do it. On a more personal note, I love vintage and antiques. Ilocos, I reckon has plenty to offer when it comes to that. This place, is so far the farthest that we’ve been to and the 1 st province in Luzon we’ve traveled to. How we got there? I know you are itching to hear the answer to that question. Well, okay, I’m not prolonging your agony anymor

Camotes Island

CAMOTES ISLAND (an island worth falling for) One more shot before summer ends, and my final stop before the rainy season arrives is the beautiful  Island of Camotes. I have been to several white sand beaches, but I now have my personal favorite  amongst all – CAMOTES! To tell you honestly, the word beautiful is an understatement. Up to this  writing, I still can’t put to exact words the beauty I just witnessed last weekend that every time I  remember it I just want to start racing my way back to the island. I can talk about how magically beautiful the island is endlessly, but words aren’t enough – you have to  see it for yourself and fall deeply in love with the place just like how I feel ATM. The island offers plenty  of places to discover, and it isn’t limited to beaches with pristine crystal clear waters and wide stretched  fine white sands. To start with, below were our destinations in our Camotes tour. Paraiso Cave – A man made, but we

ZipAway

ZIP AWAY (Caputatan Norte, Medellin, Cebu) If you want a closer feels with nature then this place is surely a must visit! This is a government owned eco-park which provides some adrenaline rushing rides and activities for insanely super low fees. We arrived there at around 3 P.M. from Kawit, Medellin. It took us about 45 minutes to an hour from Kawit, and it was a little bumpy ride the moment we turned to that corner street going there. The view up there paid the price though as it was just scenic that I was lost for words for a few ticks! There were no other visitors when we arrived that for a short while it was like the place was exclusive for us. We relaxed, took photos, enjoyed the view and the fresh air of the province for a bit before engaging into their offered activities. The tarzan jump that I was rooting for, but ended up not trying it (scaredy cat! Stop judging me okay?) According to my friend's boyfriend who tried it, it was really scary

FUNtastic Island

FUNTASTIC ISLAND (Gibitngil Island, Medellin, Cebu) One of the most anticipated time of the year has finally arrived, and this time I am northbound! Summer, nowadays can either be both a blessing or a curse – depends on the eye of the beholder really – hahah! Due to the scorching heat summer brings, people tend to flock out from their comfort zones and go to some place that will ease the heat, at least, momentarily. Well, for people like us with very itchy soles there is really no season nor time, all we need is a location and off we go  (oh I forgot, money of course! Lol)! FUNTASTIC Island in Gibitngil Island, Medellin, Cebu has been sitting in my bucket list for quite some time now and thought maybe it's about time to give it a go for this summer's jaunt. Someone was kind and sweet enough to lend us a ride for free (to & fro) so we saved money on the fare *yey!*. We started our journey early Saturday morning (3 A.M.) and reached Kawit, Medellin public m

Sumilon Island

BLUE WATER RESORT - SUMILON ISLAND (Oslob, Cebu) As a year ender, we chose Sumilon Blue Water Resort – not too far from the City this time. It’s very easy to get there because of its accessibility. We catch an early bus ride at South Bus Terminal and got there in a span of three hours. We have a previous booking arranged prior our escapade, and we didn’t stay there overnight though as their overnight room rate is kinda expensive, so we opt for a Day Tour instead which I will go into detail of the inclusions later on. Their boat transfers from the mainland to the island are scheduled, and we were scheduled to sail at 8 A.M., so we took advantage of their complimentary drinks, relaxed and stretched a little bit – it was a 3 hour bus ride after all! Finally, it’s our turn to sail (yay!). The island isn’t that far from the mainland, and I would say that a very good swimmer can cross it in no time. It only took 10-15 minutes to get us there. We were greeted b
