MOALBOAL
Moalboal Beaches
(Basdako, Moalboal)
From falls to beach, our second destination... It's a sequel to our KAWASAN FALLS escapade. Here you can enjoy the beach scenery, walk on their fine white sands or dive all you want at their famous Pescador Island. From Badian going back to the town of Moalboal we took the bus, fare is 20 Php only, and the trip took only minutes. When we got in their town, lots of tricycle drivers asked us where our destination is and they negotiated with us so we haggled.

Finally
we were able to negotiate with a tricycle driver. We really have no
particular resort to go to so we asked suggestions from him, and thank
God he's been very helpful. He took us to a public beach resort where
the prices were affordable, and since we're just staying for the day
a room is not really necessary. We rented a small shack in front of
the beach, enough to give us shade and a place to sit, eat and relax
a little bit. The cottage cost only 400 Php and there were four of us
so we divided the sum (100 Php for each of us). Also, each of us
brought foods to share with so we can save up some more.
Our little shack
We
filled ourselves with foods and after a few hours of “R & R”
we decided to roam around and explore other resorts. No fence separated each
resorts so we were free to wander as much as we wanted. We chose to
plunge and enjoy the beach from a different resort. It is because the
people in there are fewer due to the fact that the resort being
fronted by the beach is a bit expensive compared to the public ones.
views from other beach resorts we passed by.
It
was indeed a marvelous day, but every beginning has its end. We have
to get back to reality, although we wished we could stay some more.
Time is running so fast and we have a trip that must not be missed.
We tidied up and got ready for take off. A tricycle was waiting to drive
us back to the town where the buses will be passing by to pick up and
drop passengers from time to time. There was no particular parking
area for them to wait actually, however, there's a loading and
unloading area. The first bus that stopped by was an air-conditioned
one, but it was way to full so we chose to wait for another one,
besides, it was only half-past-six and the last trip is still at 8
o'clock in the evening. A non air-conditioned bus stopped and dropped
plenty of passengers so it made a lot of space for us. The fare for a
non air-conditioned bus from the town of Moalboal to the city of Cebu
is only 107 Php, a little bit cheaper than the air-conditioned one.
It
was almost 9 o'clock when we finally arrived at the bus terminal. I
and my friends fell asleep so we didn't notice that we're already in
Cebu City. We're back to the hustle and bustle sound of the city and
of course, no one can be spared by the unending and annoying traffic
the city has to offer. Oh well, I had a very pleasant day and I'm too
happy to be pissed off. In just one day we were able to visit two
beautiful famous summer destinations. My short yet fun summer rove
spree has finally came to an end. I hope I was able to share the fun
and enthusiasm of my experience.
To GOD be the GLORY!
