Osmeña Peak (Mantalongon, Dalaguete) Summer! It is the most awaited season of the year by all ages. From the youngster to the young at heart. Along with it is the excitement to once again reunite with grandparents, cousins and kin living in the province whom we don't get to see and chat with whole year round. For some, it is the time of the year where we get to bond with our loved ones and be away from our usual busy lives in the city. This has been the most balanced summer I've ever had in my entire existence, and so far the most unforgettable one. Osmeña Peak is our last but definitely not the least destination. Just Inn/BB's Hideaway (Upper Balud, Dalaguete) Just Inn or BB's Hideaway is a mountain resort located in Upper Balud, Dalaguete. To get there you have to take a motorcycle (commonly referred as habal2x) or tricycle ride from their town proper. It is a private resort owned by a seaman and is managed by his kind and hospitable sister. Prior going to our short weekend vacation, I've researched for the right place to stay in Dalaguete. We chose to have our overnight stay in Dalaguete because we have plans to climb the famous Osmeña Peak early in the morning OSMEÑA PEAK . Going back to Just Inn, the place has reasonable and affordable prices suitable for a person who is on a budget (like us!) . They have a restaurant if you don't feel like cooking, but if you do, they have a grilling area, and you can purchase charcoal from them. Tumalog Falls (Tan-awan, Oslob) Right after our whale shark watching we proceeded to our second port of call. It's the captivating Tumalog Waterfall! From the whale-watching resort, we hired a motorcycle (habal-habal) to take us to our next destination. The trip took around 15-20 minutes, depending on the driver's driving speed. Ahead of us was a roadblock where motorcycles usually stop,drop and wait for passengers. A staff will meet you at the entrance to collect fees. From there you can start your trek to the falls or if your feet are too tired to walk you can ask the driver to take you straight to the falls. Personally, I would suggest to trek down the slope as the road is very steep. It is so far safer and fun to do especially if you're with your friends. Not only will you enjoy the sight of the picturesque view on the way to the falls, but you can also pause every now and then to strike a wacky pose. The trekking

Whale Shark Watching (Tan-awan, Oslob) As I've promised, you'll get more of me this summer so here I am! Back and eager to share the experiences I had from my recent summer spree. To begin with, let me share to you the first place I and my troop visited. It's the new found fame of the once somnolent town of Oslob, Cebu. The WHALE SHARK (locally referred as ”butanding” ) WATCHING. You can swim with these sweet-tempered giants or simply watch them from your boat ( locally referred as sakayan or banca) . After paying the fees ( breakdown of expenses will be shown below ) you will have to wait for your turn. It is not a first-come first-serve basis because it will depend on the capacity of the available boat. Like in our case, there were six of us in total and the available boat can accommodate 10 people so the fishermen gave us an option to share it with others or if not then we can wait for another boat to arrive that can accommodate our exact quantity.
